Coastal Container Names New Director of Operations
Coastal Container, leader in corrugated packaging products and services, has hired Bill Cessna as director of operations. In his role, Cessna will oversee production, maintenance, shipping and trucking.
Cessna brings 25 years of experience in the packaging industry, having most recently spent two years at a corrugated company in Kalamazoo. Prior to that, he spent 22 years as vice president of operations for a display and packaging company in Aurora, Illinois.
“Bill brings over 20 years of experience to his new position at Coast Container and his skillset aligns perfectly with our company’s goals,” said Paul Doyle, CEO of Coastal Group. “Bill is hard at work bringing his knowledge of the industry and equipment to our lean manufacturing processes. Together, the combination will be powerful.”
As the new director of operations, Cessna said he plans to implement a new computerized maintenance management system, pursue industry certifications, improve overall operations across the company and continue several ongoing projects within the company.
“For years, Coastal Container has created durable, cost-effective packaging products and I’m excited to continue that,” Cessna said. “My plan is to take time to analyze the systems currently in place to ensure our operations run smoothly and efficiently, ultimately saving Coastal and our customers time, money and resources.”
When not working, Cessna enjoys spending time with his family’s four rescue dogs, golfing with his wife and spending time with his two sons.
