Journeyman Industrial Electrician

Job description

Purpose of the job – Pay based on experience.

Provide electronic support to the manufacturing facility, equipment and operations to ensure proper functioning and working conditions. Safely installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains our facility and equipment in all aspects for the electrical-related needs of the business.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Equipment Installation: Aids in the installation and electrical needs of a machine as there are transfers across the facility, or new equipment purchased.

Equipment Troubleshooting: Diagnosis equipment malfunctions and investigates potential equipment related quality problems. Confirms equipment is meeting all electrical demands and standards.

Equipment Repair: Provides timely repairs to production, non-production, and production support equipment. Uses both analog and digital electrical equipment and other parts as needed. Must be familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, and machine repair. Corrugate industry experience strongly encouraged to apply.

Preventative Maintenance: Completes prescribed equipment PMs on schedule and to standard. Coaches Cell Technicians to safely and effectively complete operator PMs.

Safety: Identifies and recommends improvements to building and equipment safety by focusing on potential hazards and completing safety-related improvements. Engages in safe behavior in all situations. Observes all safety procedures including lockout tagout and Personal Protective Equipment.

Security: Maintains the building security standards and observes all security standards including the visitor policy.

Facility Maintenance: Conducts routine maintenance and repairs on all property, facility and grounds related to electrical needs. Helps keep the facility “customer ready” at all times. Assists internal and external partners with more complex repairs and building improvements.

Maintenance Team: Participates in ongoing development, communication, and implementation of new maintenance programs and policies. Coordinates work to ensure best practices with all maintenance team members. Attends maintenance team meetings. Assists other staff as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $29.00 – $30.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Manufacturing: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Electrical License (Preferred)
