Responsibilities

• Machine set-ups including adjustment of equipment settings, mounting printing plates, dies.
• Controls, monitors, and adjusts machine settings and function.
• Reviews daily production schedule, makes recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet cost, quality and service goals.
• Inspects incoming corrugated paper to confirm specification for job order and ensure for quality.
• Performs regular quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
• Keep records of output, downtime, quality, and scrap
• Performs daily, weekly, and/or monthly preventive maintenance activities and submits maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Maintains clean and organized work area.

Skills

• Corrugated packaging experience is ideal,
• Proven experience as a machine operator and/or experience in production and manufacturing procedures, excellent mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity and comfort with complex machinery and measurement tools (tape measure).
• Ability to read and understand specifications, manuals, and measuring tools,
• Teamwork and communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; technical degree is a plus.
• Basic math with strong written and verbal communication skill.
