Coastal Container, leader in corrugated packing products and services, earned its ISO 9001:2015 certification. ISO, or the International Organization for Standardization, is a non-governmental body consisting of over 160 countries. ISO is responsible for developing standards for various industries which promote quality, safety, and efficiency. The completion of the certification emphasizes Coastal Container’s continued drive to use best practices across the company.

“Utilizing ISO standards translates to higher customer satisfaction, fewer errors, more efficient processes, and ultimately lower operating and development costs. All of these benefits create a better experience and better product for our customers,” said Bill Cessna, Director of Operations.

“I am most proud of the fact that it took Coastal 137 days from kick off meeting to the completion of ISO Certification. To me, this means that Coastal was a well-run operation to start, and we learned a bunch of things that can make us even stronger,” said Paul Doyle, Chief Executive Officer. “The never ending pursuit of ‘better’ is the sort of thing our customers should expect from us. We will never rest easy that we are our customers ‘best option.’ We aggressively pursue continuous improvement and innovation.”

Coastal Container also earned the ISTA Laboratory Certification to conduct ISTA package performance testing and its Sustainable Forestry Initiative certification.
